Salem Public Schools Receives $169,175 MLSC STEM Equipment and Professional Development Grant

The Salem Public School district received $169,175 to grow its science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) curriculum by enabling it to purchase lab equipment, materials, supplies, and technology. Additionally, this will fund professional development opportunities for educators that support the implementation of advanced curricula and standards. The grant is expected to serve 3,680 students in Salem.

This award comes from the MLSC’s STEM Equipment and Professional Development Grant program, which was announced on Monday by the administration of Governor Maura Healey and Lieutenant Governor Kim Driscoll. Salem Public Schools is a multi-time awardee of this grant, previously receiving over $21,000 in funding.
