Last week, Eyepoint Pharmaceuticals celebrated the expansion of its presence in Massachusetts with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at its new 40,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Northbridge.
EyePoint CEO Jay Duker said Massachusetts offered “really, really competitive … tax incentives to stay, which were much more competitive than other states.” He also cited the local skilled workforce as another reason EyePoint built its manufacturing facility in-state.
EyePoint was one of the 19 companies this year to receive a tax incentive award from the Healey-Driscoll administration and the Massachusetts Life Sciences Center to create life sciences industry jobs in the Commonwealth. The company was awarded $500,000 towards the creation of 20 jobs in Northbridge.
