Massachusetts Life Sciences Center Announces Equipment and Supply Grants for Revere Schools

The Massachusetts Life Sciences Center (MLSC), joined by House Speaker Robert A. DeLeo and local school and elected officials announced more than $246,000 in funding to improve science courses, and provide new equipment and supplies for students in the Revere Public Schools.

An MLSC grant of $96,000 will support the improvement of Revere High School’s Chemistry, Physics and Computer Science programs, both at the Introductory and Advanced Placement levels. This funding will provide up-to-date equipment and supplies so students have more opportunities to design experiments or prototypes, collect data and analyze the results, or to collaborate with peers to solve complex problems. Additional funding of nearly $150,000 was awarded to three Revere middle schools (Garfield Middle School, Rumney Marsh Academy, and the Susan B. Anthony Middle School).
