Thank you to our partners at MassBio for another inspiring Policy Breakfast focused on accelerating Massachusetts leadership, innovation, and access. Massachusetts’ global leadership position in the life sciences remains strong thanks to the powerful and thoughtful engagement of our elected leaders. The MLSC team was proud to join this annual convening, which brings together our ecosystem to continue the dialogue on the good work ahead to lengthen our lead.
The Breakfast featured remarks from Lt. Governor Kim Driscoll, who highlighted the reauthorization of the Massachusetts Life Sciences Initiative as part of the passage of the Mass Leads Act. Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO) CEO John Crowley was also on hand to offer remarks on the importance of government partnership and Massachusetts’ life sciences prominence. He also shared his personal story on the power of the life sciences to transform lives.
MLSC President and CEO Kirk Taylor, MD had the privilege of joining LabCentral COO & EVP Maggie O’Toole, HC Bioscience, Inc. CEO Leslie Williams, and JLL’s Robert Coughlin for an in-depth conversation on the historical and future impacts of the Massachusetts Life Sciences Initiative.
Attendees also celebrated State Representative Carole Fiola, who received the Legislator of the Year award from MassBio.
