Gene-editing company gets $420K tax break for Framingham facility

Cambridge-based CRISPR Therapeutics (Nasdaq: CRSP), which announced plans to build the facility last week, will get $420,000 in tax credits from the Massachusetts Life Sciences Center in exchange for creating 20 jobs, according to a spokesperson for the quasi-state agency.

The Tax Incentive program is offered to companies engaged in life sciences research and development, commercialization and manufacturing in Massachusetts.  The program provides incentives to companies, of all sizes, looking to expand their efforts by creating new, long-term jobs in Massachusetts.
